Chelsea are trying to ask whether RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has a release clause they can redeem.
After the transfer ban was lifted, Chelsea immediately targeted several players to be brought into the January 2020 transfer market.
One of the names considered by the Blues is RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Although Leipzig has made it clear he will not release Werner in the transfer window next winter, Chelsea are still looking for ways to bring the 23-year-old striker.
One of the ways that the English League giants did it was to find out whether there was a release clause in Werner's contract.
Because, there was news that was spread if the German national team player had the clause in his contract.
As reported by BolaSport.com from The Telegraph, the possible cost to activate the clause stands at 26.5 million pounds (around Rp. 482 billion) to 51.2 million pounds (around Rp. 931 billion).
That's what is currently being explored by Chelsea.
Werner is one of the players the Blues really want.
In addition to his impressive record of goals, 18 goals from 17 appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2019-2020 season, Werner can also play more wide.
In addition to looking for a forward, Chelsea are also looking for a defender.
One name that is widely associated with Chelsea today is Bournemouth defender, Nathan Ake.
The same report also mentions Chelsea could redeem his former player at a price of 40 million pounds (around Rp. 727 billion).
The agreement stated in the Ake contract at Bournemouth allows Chelsea to buy it back at that price.
