Robin Van Persie and Marcus Rashford Debate over his best position
Former Man United player Robin van Persie suggested Marcus Rashford play as the Red Devils' center forward.
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is enjoying his role as a wing striker at the Red Devils this season.
Playing in that position, Rashford managed to become Man United's top scorer with 12 goals scored in the Premier League this season.
However, former Man United striker Robin van Persie said Rashford did not fit in that position.
Robin van Persie is more agree if Rashford plays as the Red Devils central striker.
The former Dutch national team player believes that Rashford has the intelligence needed to score through the middle of the field.
On the other hand, Rashford asserted that he likes to play as the attacking wing of the Red Devils as they are today.
The debate ensued when Van Persie interviewed Rashford.
"The run you made when you scored against Liverpool was truly extraordinary," said van Persie
"Only top players can do it."
"It made me realize that you are more appropriate to play as the main striker (middle)."
Hearing that, Rashford did not agree with what his senior said at Man United.
He considered that Anthony Martial should fill the position of the main striker.
"The position I'm playing right now is my favorite position," Rashford said
Rashford was also asked about the player who had the best connection with him during the match.
The England international said Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba were his best colleagues at Manchester United.
