Fernandinho Admits City at Risk of Failing to Finish in the Big Four

The defeat of Wolverhampton makes Manchester City increasingly exhausted. City midfielder Fernandinho does not deny that his team could fail to finish in the top four.
City just swallowed their fifth defeat in the Premier League this season. Come to Molineux on Saturday (12/28/2019) early morning WIB, The Citizens threw away a two-goal advantage before falling with a score of 2-3.

With these results, City stuck in third place in the Premier League standings after collecting 38 points from 19 matches. Pep Guardiola's men are 14 points off Liverpool at the top, which still has a game in hand.

Not only getting away from Liverpool, City actually getting closer to the teams below. The defending champion is only seven points clear of Manchester United and eight points clear of Tottenham Hotspur despite playing 20 matches.

Fernandinho admitted it would be very difficult for City to tackle Liverpool. The Manchester Blue must start to be consistent considering the hard competition in the league.

"If we play more matches like this, and lose in more matches, we will be in a bad position," Fernandinho said. "So we have to move on, try to win our matches and try to secure second place."
