Floyd Mayweather Jr. became the highest-income athlete in the 2010s. His wealth is more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The business and financial magazine Forbes released the names of the 10 highest-income athletes in a decade. The list includes athletes who were active during the period 2010 to 2019.
Boxer from the United States, Floyd Mayweather, lined up as the richest athlete in the world during that period. The total boxer nicknamed The Money made a profit of 915 million US dollars, half of which was obtained from two grand matches against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and Conor McGregor in 2017.
Portuguese soccer star Ronaldo follows in second place. Juventus striker for nine years has earned revenues of 800 million US dollars from the club, sponsors, and promotion of advertising on social media.
Messi came in third with the highest payment in the world in 2019 amounting to 127 million dollars, and total profits of 750 million dollars so far this decade.
In the list of the top five there are names of players LeBron James and Roger Federer. Next in the list of other 10 followed Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Manny Pacquiao, Kevin Durant, and Lewis Hamilton.
