Cesar Azpilicueta Wants Chelsea to Be Feared Again by Opponents at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta should be able to re-give fear to opponents who visit Stamford Bridge following poor results at home recently.
On Boxing Day yesterday, Chelsea who played at home to Southampton had to humiliate Southampton two goals without reply. The visitors scored two goals each Michael Obafemi and Nathan Redmond.

As a result of this result, Chelsea have now suffered three defeats in their last five home games. Obviously this is not a good thing for a team as big as the Blues.

Complicated problem

After the defeat against Southampton, Azpilicueta said a series of negative results at home is clearly a complicated problem.

"We are not able to score or win in the last two home games, and this is a big problem if we want to maintain consistency and stay in the position we want," Azpilicueta was quoted as saying by Goal International.

"Fans want us to look neat and achieve good results and we are not able to give it. It's true that at home we face teams that sometimes endure more closely than when they play at home and we can get more space. But the solution depends on ourselves," he added.

Restore Awesomeness

Restore Awesomeness

Furthermore, Azpilicueta also urged his team to be able to restore the awesomeness of Stamford Bridge for visiting opponents.

"It depends on us to always play consistently, the level of playing at home or away, against any team. We know every game in the Premier League is very heavy," said Azpilicueta.

"When other teams see us losing points at home then they come with more confidence. We must restore this respect at home," he said.
