Liverpool Chance to Invincibles, Except Jurgen Klopp Intends to Play

Former England national team defender Stuart Pearce predicts Liverpool will win the Premier League in the 2019/2020 season. Not only champions, Liverpool also have the opportunity to record 'invincibles' or not invincible.

Liverpool are now on the right track to become the 2019/2020 Premier League champions. The Reds are now leading the standings with a 13-point advantage from Leicester City in second place.

Liverpool even have the opportunity to make the point distance wider with rival teams. Because, Liverpool still have one postponed match that is against West Ham.

Of the 18 games that have been played, Liverpool have not been touched by defeat at all. The Reds only failed to win once. The moment occurred when Sadio Mane and colleagues were held to a draw at Manchester United.

Seeing Liverpool's current performance, the opportunity to take down invincibles is huge. Liverpool are in the best form, both from club level and individual players. Stuart Pearce believes that the opportunity for invincibles will be reached.

"The only thing that might stop them doing it is if they win the league and then [Klopp] plays with the team at the end of the season," Stuart Pearce was quoted as saying on talkSPORT.

"At the moment, I don't see them being stopped. I have never seen a team win a ball back on the opposing side as much as they do," added Stuart Pearce.

So far, only two clubs have been able to record invincibles in England. The first club was Preston in the 1888/1889 season. The second club is Arsenal in the 2003/2004 season.

Stuart Pearce said he was impressed with Liverpool's attacking performance. However, he also appreciated the good work of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 21-year-old player is considered to have great energy and appear stable.

"He unleashed a superb pass and his energy was extraordinary. He is getting better and better as a player, and will only improve with age, as Ashley Cole did," he said.

"Hopefully he will make a decent place on the international stage in his career going forward," said Stuart Pearce.
