Before Mane's goal, there was Handball Van Dijk

The Virgil van Dijk handball incident was considered by Anthony Taylor to have gone too far before Sadio Mane's goal. This is the reason the referee endorsed the Liverpool goal.

Liverpool won 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the 20th week of the English League on Monday (12/30/2019) early morning hrs. Sadio Mane became the Reds' sole goal scorer in the 42nd minute.

Liverpool's goal is much debated because in the process, Virgil Van Dijk is considered a handball. He looks handball when controlling the ball before releasing a long pass that started the Red goal.

The delivery ball met Adam Lallana who handed it to Mane with his chest. The Senegalese player then calmly conquered Rui Patricio.

Referee Anthony Taylor briefly reviewed the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after this goal. But reportedly, he did not see the Van Dijk incident but confirmed whether or not Lallana handball.

In replays, Lallana gives the ball to Mane with a chest. This is the main reason why Liverpool's goal remains validated.

Taylor did not review Van Dijk's handball because the incident was considered too far before the goal. That was revealed from the statement of Wolves captain Connor Coady who had protested to referee 41 this year.

"I spoke with Anthony Taylor during the match. He was a nice figure to talk to. But my question did not really get a satisfying answer from him," Coady was quoted as saying by Yahoo Sports.

"We felt Van Dijk had obviously done handball before the goal. That's what we had in mind. Then he (Taylor) told me the Van Dijk incident happened too far before the goal. ! "he growled.
