The President of the UFC, Dana White, considered that the match that brought Donald Cerrone against Conor McGregor was the right decision.
Conor McGregor will return to compete in the octagon arena at UFC 246 which will take place on January 19, 2020.
Fighters from the Republic of Ireland will compete against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States in the Welter class.
The President of the UFC, Dana White, said that the match between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone was the right decision.
How not, both fighters were equally defeat in the previous match.
Conor McGregor was forced to surrender in the fourth round when he was unable to withstand the submission alias the locking technique launched by Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The defeat of Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC 229 October 2018 increasingly worsened the image of the fighter nicknamed The Notorius.
He was subsequently sentenced to a six-month ban from competition by the Nevada Athletics Commission (NSAC) due to the riots that occurred at UFC 229.
The bitter results were also felt by Donald Cerrone who had to feel two successive defeats.
The United States fighter must recognize Tony Ferguson's superiority at UFC 238 which took place in June 2019.
After losing to Tony Ferguson, Cerrone had to return to Justin Gaethje in September 2019.
No doubt if with that note, Dana White said that the match between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone was the right match.
"If you look at the way we made this match, Conor lost his last match, and Cerrone was the same," Dana White, told BolaSport.com from Express.
"This is a match of two fighters who are ranked in the top five, do not listen to all that nonsense," he continued.
As reported by BolaSport.com earlier, Dana White also guaranteed that fans would not regret seeing the fight between Donald Cerrone and Conor McGregor.
"There is absolutely no disappointment about Cerrone's announcement, no one is disappointed with Cerrone. I guarantee it will be a big fight," he said.
