Messi started Neymar to return to Barcelona ... and failed
Paris - Lionel Messi reportedly begged Neymar to move to Barcelona. However, the transfer did not materialize this summer.
Neymar has indeed been linked with Barcelona throughout the transfer market this summer. Paris Saint-Germain was reluctant to let him go, but he finally opened negotiations.
According to the L'Equipe report, Messi apparently triggered Neymar's desire to return to Barcelona. The Argentine striker is reportedly asking Neymar to return directly to Camp Nou.
Messi will send a short message to Neymar. It contained Neymar's invitation to return to the Blaugrana in a uniform to help him win the Champions League this season.
However, the transfer was finally canceled. Until the closing of the transfer market on Monday (2/9) local time, Barcelona and PSG did not respect the agreement.
Neymar is indeed equal to Messi, while playing in Spain from 2013 to 2017. Both have jointly won two Spanish titles, once the Champions League and the World Cup club, and three Copa del Rey.
Now, Neymar will also be saved from PSG. While Les Parisiens itself has loaned Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan.
