Ahead of the San Marino MotoGP, Petrucci is getting more tuned with his motorcycle

Ahead of the San Marino MotoGP, Petrucci is getting more tuned with Motorny Danilo Petrucci claims he has tuned in with the new settings on his motorcycle. He hopes to achieve better results in MotoGP San Marino.

At the start of the 2019 MotoGP season, Petrucci successfully won the first podium at Mugello, and twice finished third at Le Mans and Catalunya. He also competed with his teammate, Andrea Dovizioso, in the race for second place standings.

But after the second half began, the Italian rider declined because he was only able to finish eighth in Brno, nine in Spielberg, and seventh in Silverstone. His position in the standings also slipped to fourth, losing to Alex Rins who rose to third.

Petrucci admitted that in the last few races, his team had made changes to his motorcycle. But the results actually make the performance less slick on the track.
"In the last two or three races, we made a number of changes that actually made the motorbike far from our best standard," Petrucci was quoted as saying from Autosport.

To boost its performance ahead of the San Marino MotoGP on Sunday (09/15/2019), Petrucci and the team made various improvements to their mounts. As a result, during two test sessions at the Misano Circuit on Thursday (29/8) to Friday (8/30), he succeeded in second place.

The 28-year-old rider said that his Ducati Desmosedeci motorbike had returned to the standard he wanted. He also became more confident to go fast on the track.

"In the test session this time, we got a motorcycle set-up similar to the one I used at the start of the season. I immediately felt better on the ride."
"We improved the braking of the motorbike, which had been a problem since day one," Petrucci said.

Improvements that have been made, plus a pretty neat test results make it sure to face the race this weekend.

"On top of that, we have returned the motorbike to the expected standard.
