Dani Ceballos admires Liverpool, this is Unai Emery's answer
Arsenal coach Unai Emery was reluctant to embarrass Dani Ceballos for Liverpool. Emery said this compliment was an expression of pure admiration for defender opponents.
Ceballos is one of Arsenal's new recruits this summer. He has been loaned out by Real Madrid for one season.
Ceballos recently made a rather controversial statement. He said he was very surprised to see a very good match from Liverpool when his team were beaten 3-1.
Responding to Ceballos' statement, Emery felt that what Ceballos said was not a big problem. "Every player, when he comes to the competition and also the new team, needs time to adapt," Emery was quoted as saying by Metro.
Adaptation process
Emery said that Ceballos's statement indicated that the player knew what level he should play, which made him adapt more quickly.
"He played in a match against Liverpool and he knows how difficult it is for new players to appear in the Premier League, especially against teams like Liverpool."
"That's a good thing, he realizes he has to adapt, so it's very important for him to adapt more quickly to us."
Good player
Emery also believes that Ceballos is a player of very good quality. He hopes players can immediately have a positive impact on his team.
"He has to adapt to our game idea, with a new team, with his new teammates and also with the opposing team."
"He has the desire to provide ability and quality in every game and during our training." he said.
Next game
Ceballos might return in the fifth week of the EPL this season.
He will play against Watford on Vicarage Road tomorrow.
