Mandzukic and Juventus on the doorstep
Mario Mandzukic's career at Juventus only stayed a few days. The midfielder was reportedly played by Qatari club Al Gharafa and contender Major League Soccer (MLS) Los Angeles FC.
Mandzukic has to be released because Juventus already have many forwards this season. Besides Cristiano Ronaldo, Federico Bernardeschi, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain also strengthened the Bianconeri's attack line.
The age factor is also a factor that is considered for sale by Juventus. The 33-year-old did not even enter the Juve team for the 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League season. Recently, his name was also dropped when Juventus visited the Fiorentina headquarters at the Artemio Franchi stadium on Saturday (09/14/2019).
According to Italian football, Mandzukic is expected to immediately complete his transfer to Al Gharafa or Los Angeles FC. However, well-known media such as La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato claim that the former Atletico Madrid striker was not interested in a career in the Qatari League.
The proposal from Los Angeles FC will be more exciting for Mandzukic. Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio also said that the player really wanted to make a living in Uncle Sam's country.
Mandzukic arrived at Juventus in the summer of 2015 after being kidnapped from Atletico Madrid. So far, he has scored 44 goals in 162 matches. The Croatian nationalist feels eight titles, including four Scudetto Serie A.
