West Ham midfielder feels happy playing Manchester United

West Ham United midfielder, Declan Rice, believes he is able to strengthen a team like Manchester United. So why did he refuse to leave the hammer?

The name of the 20-year-old player was associated with Manchester United some time ago. However, all these rumors sank as soon as he signed a new contract at the end of 2018.

So far, Declan Rice is still one of the pillars of West Ham. He played 90 minutes in the four matches played by Manuel Pellegrini's team in the Premier League.

His appearance attracted the attention of England coach Gareth Southgate. His name was restored in the team so that the Three Lions will play two 2020 European Cup qualifiers later.

Not yet time

Declan Rice himself is quite confident as a player. He even thinks he can strengthen a big team like Manchester United. But he chose not to do it, at least for now.

"Don't be fooled, I think I have the ability to play in a club like this, but this is all about time and I don't think this is the right time, I have to learn more." said Declan Rice at FourFourTwo.

"I am happy to be at West Ham, the relationship between me and the fans is special, I am one of the favorite players of the fans and the coach also beat me," he said.

Wants to be a West Ham legend

Regarding the possibility of his departure, Declan Rice himself could not answer it. In fact, he still has a chance to survive in West Ham and become a legend.

"I am signing a new contract here for the next few years and hope to play again this season and next, so let's see later," he added.

"That can be called a West Ham legend in the future, maybe it will be a big prize," he said.

Declan Rice is expected to be part of the British national team during his meeting with Bulgaria on Saturday (9/9/2019). The match will be held at Wembley Stadium.
