Quartararo is not grandiose in Aragon's MotoGP
Despite starting from second place, heroic Fabio Quartararo will not set targets in Aragon's MotoGP. The goal is to position on the podium.
Quartararo pole in MotoGP Aragon, Sunday (09/22 2019) night. During the qualifying session held on Saturday (9/21), he only lost in front of Marc Marquez.
Since last week it seems difficult Quartararo MotoGP San Marino and a fierce fight with Marquez, he is the favorite to compete for first place. But the French racer is aware of a different challenge this time.
Marquez was very difficult at Aragon, not just their performance this weekend, but also the history there. Apart from carving out the best time of the weekend: One minute 46,869 seconds, the Repsol Honda racer was the master in the previous three seasons.
Quartararo highlights Marquez's level in FP4, the simulation speed for later races. The best time to cut the world champion from one minute 48,246 seconds in which 0.393 seconds Maverick Viñales as the closest competitor.
Quartararo himself is in third place in 0643 seconds from Marquez. He believes it will be really difficult to compete with Mark Aragon, therefore, he will focus on himself alone.
"When you look at the pace of the race in FP4, it's hard to say that we can compete with them. Our aim is to have a good race and I think we have the speed to finish in the top five," Quartararo said.
"The first five rounds will be. Of course, I will try to do my best to stay with the cyclist leader to fight for the podium and good results," added the 20-year racer.
