Referee Misunderstood the Sergio Ramos Glasses celebration

Sergio Ramos explained the matter of celebrating his glasses after scoring against Romania. There was a misunderstanding that the referee gave him a yellow card.
Ramos scored one goal in Spain's 2-1 win over Romania at the Arena Nationala, Bucharest, in the continued European Cup Qualification 2020, Friday (6/9/2019) early morning hrs. The Spanish captain made a goal through a penalty execution in the 28th minute.

After scoring a goal, Ramos celebrated by placing his hands in front of his eyes like wearing glasses. He did it in front of a TV camera.

But Ramos then got a yellow card because of the action. Referee Deniz Aytekin assessed the celebration as an attempt to provoke the host public.

Ramos also explained that the celebration he did was not intended to support the host. He did it for his nephew who wears glasses.

"During the break I explained to (referee) Aytekin that if I celebrated the glasses for my nephew, he had to wear them the same as me," Ramos said as reported by the US.

"I did it to cheer him up, dedicate this goal for him. But the referee didn't see it that way and gave me a yellow card," he said.

Ramos stated that referee Aytekin had apologized to him after he got an explanation.
