Repeat 2011, Leonardo Makes a Shopping List in the Italian League for PSG

In his first term as director of  Paris Saint-Germain (PSG),Leonardo Araujo used his knowledge and connections to bring many Serie A stars to the rich club of the French League.

In the summer of 2011, Leonardo was appointed PSG's sporting director.

He immediately recruited many high-profile stars from the Italian League armed with his experience of being an AC Milan player in 1997-2001 and 2002-2003 and AC Milan coach 2009-2010 and Inter Milan 2010-2011.

From Jeremy Menez, Javier Pastore, Thiago Motta, Marco Verratti, to Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, and Marquinhos in a row brought Leonardo to PSG.

A number of stars were proven to indeed be able to bring PSG won many trophies, at least at the domestic level.

In the summer of 2019, Leonardo returned as sporting director of PSG.

The same trend seems to be carried out by Leonardo with PSG is now associated with many names of Serie A stars in the transfer market.

Lucas Paqueta (AC Milan) had already been linked as a PSG target.

Paqueta was only recruited by AC Milan in the winter of a year ago.

In the past, Leonardo himself helped pave the way for AC Milan to get Paqueta.

However, Leonardo's shopping list was not just Paqueta.

As quoted by Bolasport.com from Corriere dello Sport, there are also the names of two Juventus players, Mattia De Sciglio and Emre Can.

One more name is Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali.

Maneuver Leonardo and PSG eyeing Tonali will remind the public of their action in 2012.

At that time PSG managed to recruit young Italian stars who were shining in Pescara Marco Verratti
 

PSG at that time made the keki of Juventus who actually also wanted Verratti.
