Isco Strengthens Midfield, Chelsea Ready to Bring from Real Madrid
Chelsea are ready to sign Isco from Real Madrid in a plan to strengthen their midfield.
The Blues are reportedly willing to pay 55 million Euros to Real Madrid to release the midfielder.
The Blues are very interested in bringing the 27-year-old to west London, adding that talks can be done.
Subsequent reports indicated that the club wanted to play Isco to be in front of N'Golo Kante, so that would give the Madrid star a lot of freedom of attack.
When Frank Lampard was asked about the possibility of a transfer in January, he revealed he would recruit new players for the team.
"We certainly join in the recruitment of players in the transfer market," Lampard said.
"I have very close talks with Granovskaia (Club Director), technical and performance adviser and head of our recruitment department.
"They know what I want and I will be in their midst to discuss who we will bring to the club," he added.
Chelsea have rekindled their interest in the Real Madrid midfielder, following an increase in performance in recent weeks.
This season, Isco has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos after a muscular injury last September.
The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, has no intention of releasing Isco, but if there is an appropriate offer at the end of the season he will change his mind.
Chelsea currently has some pretty good midfielders like N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mate Kovacic, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley.
The addition of Isco might be overkill but he will certainly add depth to Frank Lampard's midfield.
