Chaos colored the meeting of Valencia and Barcelona in the 21st week of the Spanish League 2019-2020.

Valencia successfully tame Barcelona with a score of 2-0 at home, Mestalla, Saturday (1/25/2020).

While the players struggled on the pitch, supporters from both teams ended up fighting. Noise occurred outside the stadium.

Fan Barca and Valencia throw chairs.

The riots led to the capture of hundreds of Barcelona ultras.

Apart from the commotion, Barcelona still topped the standings despite losing.

Catalonia has been counting the political cost after protests swept across the region following the decision by Spain's supreme court to impose heavy sentences on Catalan separatist leaders found guilty of sedition. Now it faces a new cost - a slump in the lucrative tourist business in its hugely popular capital, Barcelona.

They lead the table with a collection of 43 points.

However, they could be displaced to the second ladder if Real Madrid wins or reap the draw when they travel to the headquarters of Real Valladolid.
