Man United has not offered a contract extension to Matic so the player is expected to leave.

Man United actually refused offers from two clubs who are willing to bring Matic.

Matic has been in demand by clubs such as Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid in the winter transfer window this year.

Man United itself reportedly refused the offer of the two clubs because it was not in accordance with the price set by the club.

Atletico Madrid are said to want to bring Matic through barter with their midfielder, Hector Herrera.

Man United refused because the player's exchange rate does not benefit them.

Not only that, Man United is currently also experiencing a midfield crisis.

Midfielders like Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay had to pull over because of an injury.

If Man United cannot bring in a new midfielder, Matic is forced to hold out until his contract runs out.
