MotoGP Defending Champion, Marc Marquez (Spain), struggles to recover after undergoing surgery to be fit when the Sepang test is conducted.
Two consecutive seasons, Marc Marquez underwent surgery after the racing season ended.
This time, the Repsol Honda racer had to operate after his shoulder suffered a partial dislocation.
Marquez's injury was obtained while taking the test at the Jerez Circuit on November 25, 2019.
Two days later, Marquez underwent surgery at a hospital in Barcelona.
Even though he has been resting for two months, Marquez admitted that he is still not fully fit at this time.
But the winner of the six-time MotoGP title hopes to return to its original state and be able to participate in the first test to be conducted in Sepang, Malaysia, 4-7 February 2020.
"I want the recovery to go well, but it turns out to be more complicated than previously thought," Marquez said from Insideracing.com.

"Last year, I underwent my left shoulder surgery and recovery this time seemed easier and faster, but I was wrong," Marqeuez said.
"I hope to be able to return to its original condition and be able to participate in the first test of the season in Malaysia," Marquez said.
The 2020 racing season will be something special for Marquez, because he will team up with his younger brother Alex Marquez at Repsol Honda.
But Marquez thinks that family and professional relations must be separated.
"I can give him the right advice, but we know to distinguish the aspects of the family and the professional side well," Marquez said.
"We must separate the two things, everyone will work alone and think about their interests, but when at home we will help each other for our goals," said Marquez
