American women's tennis player Serena Williams won the ASB Classic title after defeating fellow compatriot Jessica Pegula.

Serena Williams won the ASB Classic title with a convincing score, 6-3, 6-3.

Williams, from the beginning has been the top seed in the event held in Auckland, Australia.

"It feels very satisfying," said Serena Williams,
