Defeat Jessica Pegula, Serena Williams wins the ASB Classic 2020

American women's tennis player Serena Williams won the ASB Classic title after defeating fellow compatriot Jessica Pegula.

Serena Williams won the ASB Classic title with a convincing score, 6-3, 6-3.

Williams, from the beginning has been the top seed in the event held in Auckland, Australia.

The road to the final is also fairly smooth for Serena Williams.

In the semifinal, the United States tennis star managed to frustrate Amanda Anisimova with a landslide result of 6-1, 6-1.

"It feels very satisfying," said Serena Williams,

"I knew I was fighting a really good player, so I knew I had to raise my level of play," Williams added.

Former world number one was successfully broken at the beginning of the match, but Williams managed to struggle to win the first set 6-3.

Jessica Pegula struggled to win in the second set, but Williams, who was able to win the Grand Slam champion 23 times, was too strong for Pegula, and the second set was again won by Wiliiams 6-4.

The 38-year-old woman has become one of the greatest tennis players in history. Williams won his first Grand Slam title in 1999.

After that time Williams managed to add another 22 titles and make it the 23 titles he had won so far.

Serena Williams will potentially add to her title collection again today.
