Already Have Charles Leclerc, Ferrari Does Not Need Lewis Hamilton
The contract extension carried out by Ferrari against Charles Leclerc, played down the chances of Lewis Hamilton's close-up.
Ferrari was rumored to be pulling Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes after his contract expired at the end of the Formula 1 (F1) championship in the 2020 season.
Sebastian Vettel's unsatisfactory performance is the reason Ferrari is interested in bringing Lewis Hamilton.
The issue of Ferrari's interest in recruiting Hamilton drew various responses.
Former F1 racer, Karun Chandhok, became one of the parties who doubted the realization of Ferrari collaboration with the winner of the six F1 titles.
"I don't think Hamilton will go to Ferrari.
The long contract that Ferrari offered to Charles Leclerc was the reason that the former Lotus driver thought so.
"I don't think that he will go to Ferrari now after Leclerc has agreed to a contract extension with Ferrari until 2024,"
"Formula1 is a funny business and strange things have happened, but with that long contract, Ferrari has made Leclerc its future.
"Why do they want a controversial season with two number one drivers in a team," he added.
Charles Leclerc has shown his light since the debut season with the Prancing Horse team in 2019.
The Monaco racer managed to present 2 of 3 Ferrari wins in F1 last season.
