AC Milan will face Torino at the San Siro in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Tuesday (1/28/2020).

The match was held two days after the helicopter crash tragedy that killed basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

Besides himself is a former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, Bryant is an AC Milan supporter.

I Rossoneri also wanted to pay homage to Bryant by asking to do a minute's silence aka a minute of silence before the match against Torino.

About the black ban on the player's arm there is no problem because it is entirely the authority of the club.

Knowing the news, supporters of Italian football immediately moved.

The hashtag #UnMinutoPerKobe or "One Minute for Kobe" was echoed, urging that Lega Serie A grant AC Milan's request.

There are also those who use the hashtag to criticize the Lega Serie A as an institution that is not sensitive to issues like this.

"Refusing to allow silence is colossal obscurity. If this is true, the Lega Serie A must be ashamed," wrote a supporter.

Not only AC Milan, supporters of other clubs also used the hashtag #UnMinutoPerKobe to voice their support.

"As a Juventus supporter, I think silence for a minute is the smallest thing we can do to honor the legend that took its first steps in Italy and never forgot this country," wrote a Juventus supporter.

While Lega Serie A was reported to have refused, the President of the FIP (Italian Basketball Federation), Giovanni Petrucci, ordered all basketball games in all categories in Italy during this week to begin with a moment of silence for Kobe Bryant.

To date there has been no confirmation from the Lega Serie A against claims from Sky Sport Italia.
