Cause Kai Havertz Hasn't Appeared Okay for the Chelsea Club

London - Kai Havertz's appearance has not been satisfactory in Chelsea's two Premier League matches. The Blues manager, Frank Lampard, argued that his new player was not 100 percent fit.

So far, Havertz has played 125 minutes with Chelsea. In his debut match against Brighton & Hove Albion, the 21-year-old winger played 80 minutes without firing a single shot at the opponent's goal, although Chelsea ended up winning 3-1.

Likewise against Liverpool. Performed 45 minutes, he only made 23 touches, passed 14 times, and again failed to threaten the opponent's goal.

The performance was not in accordance with public expectations, considering that he was brought to Stamford Bridge for 72.7 million pounds due to his slick performance last season with Bayer Leverkusen. At that time he made 18 goals and 9 assists in 45 matches.

Lampard then put his body on criticism of Havertz. The German player only needs additional time to adapt and restore his declining physical condition.

"Currently, what Kai needs to improve is to make him really fit," said Lampard, as quoted by Metro.

"He is still in the pre-season phase, because the situation is we cannot bring in a substitute at a high price, then wait for him to integrate with the team."

"Kai is a big talent for this team, we just need to make him fit and more prepared, then we can decide more clearly his playing position," explained the gaffer from England about Kai Havertz's performance.
