Mikel Arteta Withdraws Arsenal's Golden Talent from Loans
Mikel Arteta will meet with Eddie Nketiah to decide on the harbor of his career in early 2020.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta drew faster than his team's golden talent, Eddie Nketiah, from a loan spell at Leeds United.
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the competition with the English League (Championship) second caste club making 19 appearances and scoring five goals.
The reason Nketiah was withdrawn was because Arsenal were not happy with the lack of playing time given to Nketiah.
Now Nketiah is expected to be loaned out to other Championship teams.
Together with technical directors Edu Gaspar and Raul Sanllehi, Arteta will soon meet Nketiah to discuss the port of the player's career in early 2020.
"I will hold a meeting with Edu and Raul to discuss all loan players and the situation," said Arteta after the match against Manchester United,
"I knew he would come, so I would talk to him and try to make the best decision for him."
Nketiah's last appearance with Leeds ended in a 1-1 draw with West Brom on Wednesday.
Nketiah got a rare opportunity from Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa for the top of the standings but was replaced in the first round.
But Marcelo Bielsa still praised Nketiah's game.
"Arsenal have told him (Nketiah) will not continue with us and we apologize for that," explained the Argentine's original coach.
Nketiah said goodbye to Leeds through her Twtitter account.
"I'm afraid my time with Leeds has ended," Nketiah said.
It was an extraordinary and special experience to play for an extraordinary club. "
"I want to say a big thank you to my teammates, coaching staff and managers for making my time here enjoyable," he concluded.
