Barcelona goalkeeper broken down, Maradona from China set another record

A goal against Barcelona puts Wu Lei in the football history book.

One goal from Wu Lei helped Espanyol draw Barcelona 2-2 in the Spanish League at RCDE Stadium on Saturday (01/04/2020).

Diego Maradona from China, as he was dubbed, broke the net in the 88th minute.

Not just producing points for Epanyol, the goal also produced a record.

Wu became the first Chinese player to break through Barcelona's goal.

This is not the first record for WU.

Previously, the former Shanghai SIPG star established himself as the first goalscorer from China in the top caste of Spanish football.

The historic moment occurred when I met Real Valladolid.

Since joining Espanyol in January 2019, Wu has indeed drawn a lot of attention, especially from the public in his country.

Wu's debut match with Espanyol, namely against Villarreal, was witnessed by up to 40 million Chinese citizens.
