There Will Be Greater Pressure, Petronas Yamaha Targets a Victory in 2020
Jakarta - The 2019 season has been a success so far for Petronas Yamaha SRT. Petronas Yamaha General Manager, Razlan Razali, said his team's ambition was to win at least one victory in 2020.
The Yamaha satellite team was very impressive in diving during their first season in the first class. Petronas Yamaha is in fifth place in the MotoGP team standings with 161 points, only 41 points behind the Suzuki Ecstar.
Petronas Yamaha's clean performance cannot be separated from the results of its drivers. Franco Morbidelli consistently finished in the top 10, despite having retired four times. While Fabio Quartararo has achieved outstanding performance after winning three podiums in the last six races.
Petronas Yamaha currently ranks fourth in the team standings. The Malaysia-based team lost only against four major manufacturers: Ducati [1], Repsol Honda [2], Monster Energy Yamaha [3], Suzuki Ecstar [4].
