Slowly but surely, Jorginho began to steal the hearts of Chelsea fans

Frank Lampard said he was satisfied to hear the singing of Chelsea fans to support Jorginho. He believes the midfielder is starting to get public recognition from Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho's trip at Chelsea was not always smooth. He was underestimated because he was seen as Maurizio Sarri's golden child. Moreover, Jorginho has displaced the position of N'Golo Kante.

Interestingly, when the Blues coach seat is now occupied by Lampard, Jorginho was still trusted. Chelsea have many midfield options, but so far Lampard still provides an opportunity for Jorginho.

The Song of Jorginho

When Chelsea reaped their inaugural victory in the Premier League this season, with a 3-2 victory over Norwich, Jorginho's name was loudly sung by Chelsea fans. At that time, Lampard knew that Jorginho would become a new idol.

"I am satisfied to hear it directly. I have said this a lot. I also said it last week, happy working with him. I think, about the fans, they are generally quite honest," Lampard told Sky Sports.

"What they saw was a player - I didn't want to discuss last season - who worked hard, had determination as a team player. I clearly saw that."

For the sake of Chelsea

Furthermore, Lampard believes the status of 'Sarri's golden boy' will slowly be forgotten. Jorginho is a Chelsea player and he has given everything to the Blues.

"He is also qualified. He can change matches, lead matches, master the match from midfield. I am satisfied with that," continued Lampard.

"Every day I see a player who understands the meaning of playing for this club. He is a fantastic athlete who really cares."

"When fans see that on the pitch, like in the game against Norwich, that's why they sing their names," he concluded.
