Not Serious Injury, Dovizioso Can Drop in Misano Test
Northampton - Ducati racer Andrea Dovizioso has left hospital after a serious accident at the British MotoGP. Dovizioso returned to the track for a test at Misano.
Dovizioso was affected by the fall of Fabio Quartararo while the race did not even make the Sunday round (08/25/2019). The Italian racer bounced and fell, while the motorbike was dragged and caught fire.
Dovi was carried by Marshal, although he was then able to stand on his own. However, the 33-year-old rider was then taken to the Conventry Hospital after experiencing temporary memory loss.
The head of the Dovizioso team, Simone Battisella, revealed that the runners suffered. However, Dovizioso was not seriously injured, so it was possible to participate in the Misano test from 29 to 30 August.
"Andrea is fine," Battisella told GPOne. "The doctor agreed to take him out of the hospital, his head and hips hurt, but nothing serious."
"He was a little angry at the time of the race because he thought he could fight for the podium, the accident was serious and dangerous, but the important thing was that Andréa was fine."
"He will probably suffer tomorrow, I think he will be able to take part in the Misano test, knowing that he is not injured or broken, he will definitely undergo a medical examination and physiotherapy to recover."
