Spain and Portugal are ready to run for the 2030 World Cup


The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has confirmed that they are ready to participate in efforts to host the 2030 World Cup with Portugal.

In an official RFEF statement reported by Spanish Football, the Spanish football authority has established communications with Portugal as a neighbor and will soon begin to analyze the feasibility of fighting in the bidding process.

The Spanish and Portuguese football associations will declare their wishes to their respective governments and seek their approval before the next stage of submitting a proposal to FIFA.

In addition to Spain and Portugal, reports that are being developed mention that countries in the UK are also interested in volunteering but are still in the planning stages.

Among the countries in the UEFA zone (Europe) that officially appeared at FIFA to host the World Cup in 2030 were Romania, Greece and Serbia-Bulgaria.

While from CONMEBOL (South America), there are Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile. There are also candidates from CAF (Africa), namely Morocco.
