Czech Republic Records History After Defending Turkey

The Czech Republic and Turkey play their third match in Group E on Thursday 5 September 2019, local time. Taking place at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, China, the Czech Republic no doubt controls the match. They continue to maintain a distance of excellence with Turkey, which produced a 15-point victory, 91-76.

This victory became the second victory of the Czech Republic, which automatically made them qualify for the second round with the United States. The United States itself will only play the third game against Japan a few hours later. Later, the United States and Turkey will join Group K with Brazil and other representatives from Group F.

Interestingly, the success of qualifying for the second round of the Czech Republic is undoubtedly an extraordinary achievement. Because of the 2019 World Cup, China was their first appearance at the World Cup. As a beginner, qualifying for the second round with a group consisting of the United States, Turkey and Japan, of course, a huge success.

In the match against Turkey, five players from the Czech Republic have double-digit points. Vojtech Hruban leads the team with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists for 8/12 shots. Ondrej Balvin followed suit by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Patrik Auda scored 16 points and 9 rebounds despite having dropped from the bench. Jaromir Bohacik added 15 points while Chicago Bulls Tomas Satoransky scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

From the Turkish fortress, their players in the NBA duo are the mainstay. Cedi Osman is the game's top scorer with 24 points on 8/14 shots. Furkan Korkmaz followed him with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while Melih Mahmutoglu scored 14 points.

Unlike Turkey, this defeat forced them to join Group O in qualification with Japan. Later, the results achieved in Group O will affect their final position at the World Cup and the continuation of their performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. (DRMK)
