Vinales Wants To Repeat Slick Notes at Silverstone
Jakarta - Maverick Vinales has fond memories of racing at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Yamaha racer hopes to repeat this weekend.
British MotoGP can become one of Vinales' favorite series. In the last three races at Silverstone in MotoGP, Vinales has climbed twice on the podium.
Vinales won the MotoGP class for the first time at Silverstone in 2016. At that time, he won the Suzuki GSX-RR motorcycle race.
"At Silverstone, I first won the first MotoGP victory, so I have good memories here," Vinales told Crash.
In 2017, Vinales also won a good record. He entered the second podium and lost to Andrea Dovizioso in 0.114 seconds.
In 2018, this British series race must be canceled due to bad weather. One year later
This weekend's race will offer new challenges for motorists, especially the track surface that has been covered with new asphalt. This update was also well received by Vinales.
"I think this track can be a favorite for our bikes and we can compete with the new asphalt, we expect better grip and we will benefit," he said.
Vinales is currently ranked 6th in the MotoGP ranking with 102 points, but if you can win in British MotoGP, this will be your second win of the season. Previously, he had set foot on the first podium of the Dutch MotoGP.
