Ajax after the victory at PAOK to the CL playoffs

After many attempts Ajax was able to qualify for the play-offs for the Champions League. Team coach Erik ten Hag posted a hard-fought victory against Greek PAOK at Johan Cruijff ArenA: 3-2. That's enough after last week's draw in Thessaloniki (2-2).

Diego Biseswar shot PAOK, where former AA Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti started, in the 23rd minute ahead. Ajax reached the same level before half-time because of a penalty used by Dusan Tadic. The captain from Serbia was rather attractive for a penalty which he missed in the 32nd minute. Nicolás Tagliafico headed Ajax 2-1 in the final phase, after which Tadic returned to use a penalty in the 85th minute. In injury time it became a little interesting when Biseswar scored 3-2.

APOEL Nicosia was Ajax's last opponent on his way to the Champions League group stage. The club from Amsterdam start the match with the club from Cyprus next week with an away match.

 Porto is rocked by Krasnodar

The big surprise that night was recorded in Porto. Krasnodar, where former Anderlecht defender Uros Spajic played the entire match, won at Estádio do Dragão with 2-3. Russia won on the basis of the number of away goals - in the first match being 0-1 for Porto. Tonight, Vilhena and Suleymanov (2x) put Krasnodar ahead 0-3 after more than half an hour of play. After the break, Porto replied, through Luis and Dias, the score returned to 2-3, but that was not enough. Krasnodar can advance to the play-offs. Porto has a safety net with the European League.
