The Pepe Arsenal project will replace Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal are projecting its new player, Nicolas Pepe, to replace Alexandre Lacazette, with an ankle injury and have to leave for a month.

Pepe seems to be the player who will save Unai Emery's team earlier this season. Especially before this weekend's match against Watford, Emery only had two days to prepare his team and believe in good condition.

Only 24 hours after the announcement of the news expected by supporters, the return of Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin to full training of the first team, the Gunners must again receive news about Lacazette's injury.

The Frenchman will be available next October, after suffering an ankle injury that bothered him in July. "After looking again at the ankle problem, he said Alex needed to rest and strengthen his ankles to be really fit," he said.

"Alex has been trying to overcome this injury for several weeks and is likely to return to action in October," he added.

So many plans seemed to be designed by Arsenal around three attackers, namely Lacazette, flanked by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe, three offensive forces capable of destroying the Gunners' opponents.

During the international break, they are free to work on movements and games, in addition to familiarizing Pepe with complicated and fast movements that will make Aubameyang and Lacazette a deadly tandem.

With a diagnosis that is far from clear at what stage next month, player number nine will be available again. Now, Emery has to wait until October 21 to play the three main players together.

The Gunners previously confirmed that Lacazette will be out until next October with an ankle injury. The 28-year-old played four games at the start of the season with pain this season. But now it has been confirmed that he will leave until next month.

As a result, Lacazette will not play against Watford and Manchester United, or against Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

The striker will also miss the League Cup third round match against Nottingham Forest on September 4 and the European League matches against Eintract Frankfurt and Standard Liege.
