Barcelona Strengthened Japan's Young Players in the Champions League
Barcelona did not include two La Masia players, Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig, in their Champions League team, but brought in young Japanese player Hiroki Abe.
In the Blaugrana Champions League team list, all the names of their first team players are listed. The list was added to the presence of three young players; Hiroki Abe, Ronald Araujo and Ferran Sarsanedas. In accordance with UEFA rules, Barça entered 25 names, including two goalkeepers.
Team B's list consists of U21 players who have spent at least three seasons at the club. This is where the names of Fati, Puig, Abel Ruiz and Inaki Peña may be included in the Barca team for the Champions League this season.
Later, Abe will wear number 37, Araujo shirt number 33 and Sarsanedas will take number 34, if they really act for Ernesto Valverde's team at the tournament.
Three young players were included in Team A's list, because they did not qualify for Team B. Abe and Araujo were not long in Barcelona, while Sarsanedas was over 21 years old.
Meanwhile, UEFA already has the names of young Barca players listed on Team B. They are Inaki Peña, Arnau Tenas, Guillem Jaime, Dani Morer, Riqui Puig, Colllex Collado, Carles Pérez, Abel Ruiz and Ansu Fati. This was stated by Barça Blaugranes.
In the Champions League group stage, Barça will be in the same group as Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Slavia in Prague. This is a death group that will play Valverde's squad in the most important flight competition in Europe this season.
