Giroud is interested in MLS
Olivier Giroud, Paris-Chelsea striker, said he would be interested in a career in the US League (MLS). Giroud is heading towards the end of his career.
Giroud began to skyrocket with Montpellier to recruit Arsenal in 2012. For six seasons, the French striker scored more than 100 goals to enable the Gunners to win three FA Cups and the Community Shield before heading to Chelsea in January. 2017.
With Chelsea, Giroud scored 19 goals, including 13 in his first full season in 2018/19, which allowed his team to finish third in the Premier League. As a result, Chelsea chose to activate the one-year extension option for their contracts to end in 2020.
MLS has the potential to become the last Giroud port before retiring. In addition, the language factor will not be an obstacle for his family.
"MLS, for my family, my children who speak English are interesting," Giroud told RMC, quoted by Mirror. "In a year? Two years? I don't know when."
"But of course, I will be open to new challenges - not just MLS that can appeal to me," said the 32-year-old.
Before the contract was added, Giroud had been linked to return to France. However, Giroud admitted he was not serious about his departure from West London this summer.
"There was no discussion because the club had the opportunity to add one year to my contract and he took it because he was satisfied with my contribution to the club." Besides, more than that. "confidence is real, my desire to go isn't too serious," added the 2018 World Cup winner.
