Pep Guardiola is the Best Coach in the Career of Arjen Robben
Arjen Robben has trained many top coaches during his career as a footballer. He called Pep Guardiola the best.
Robben decided to hang up his shoes in the summer of 2019. He retired after 19 years of a career on the gridiron.
There are five clubs that have been defended by Robben. His professional career began in Groningen, then traveled to PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
A row of top coaches have worked with Robben. Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Jupp Heynckes, Carlo Ancelotti, until Guardiola's row of coaches.
The greatest success was achieved with Heynckes, when he succeeded in bringing Bayern Munich won the treble in the 2012/2013 season.
However, Robben instead chose Guardiola to be the best. In fact, Bayern failed to deliver repeat success in Europe. Together with Guardiola, Bayern won seven trophies, three of which were the Champions League titles.
Robben revealed the reason he so enjoyed the period of Guardiola's training. Foresight Guardiola determines the position of the player to be the main basis.
"Of course it's difficult, I've seen a lot of good things with a lot of coaches and we achieved a lot of success," Robben said at Sport.
"But, if you ask who is the best, I will say Pep Guardiola. I enjoyed it most with him. When Pep came, I was 30 years old."
"You just have to stay constant and not get worse. But under his care I play even better."
"Since I suddenly played in a different position, even though I never thought of playing in that position. He was the best.
