Olympiakos, Zagreb and Red Star Belgrade to the Champions League Group Phase

Three teams qualify for the 2019/2020 Champions League group stages. Olympiakos Timur, Dinamo Zagreb, and Red Star Belgrade who managed to escape the playoffs.

Olympiakos won the group stage ticket after beating Krasnodar 6-1 in the Champions League playoffs. After winning 4-0 in the first leg, representatives of Greece returned to win 2-1 in the second leg at the Krasnodar stadium on Wednesday (8/28), early this morning.

The success of Olympiacos was followed by Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian representative eliminated Rosenborg 3-1 in total, where Zagreb won 2-0 at home and were held 1-1 at Trondheim early this morning.

Finally, Belgrade Red Star also advanced to the Champions League group stage. Serbian MPs eliminated Young Boys 3-3 overall, but scored after becoming 2-2 in Berne and 1-1 in Belgrade.

Three other tickets can still be contested. There are CFR Cluj vs Slavia Prague matches, APOEL vs. Ajax Amsterdam, and LASK vs. Club Brugge.

CFR Cluj lost 0-1 while against Slavia Prague and will travel to Prague on Thursday (29/8) morning. APOEL and Ajax are still goalless in the first leg and will determine their breakthrough at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Finally, Club Brugge won 1-0 temporarily against LASK and will decide at the Jan Breydel stadium on Thursday morning.
