Moving to the Houston Rockets, Westbrook is forever grateful to the Thunder

Oklahoma - NBA playmaker Russell Westbrook joins the Houston Rockets after being exchanged with Chris Paul. Westbrook ended his 11-year career at the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With this exchange, Westbrook will find James Harden. The two worked together at Thunder for three years in 2009-2012.

With MVP 2017, the Rockets will be one of the most awaited teams in the 2019/2020 season. Duo Westbrook and Harden are NBA top scorers in the last five seasons; Westbrook scored 10,025 points and Harden 11,958 points.

"When I first came here, I was 18 years old, excited and completely unaware of the many extraordinary things that would happen next," Westbrook wrote on the Instagram account @ russwest44. "I grew up in Oklahoma with great people, they are the people who make this place so special - fans, coaches, teammates, and all the Thunder."

"You all have made Oklahoma a beautiful place and the reason I enjoyed playing here all this time. You have supported me in difficult and pleasant times. For that, I am always grateful.

Westbrook's trade with the Rockets with Paul has not been officially announced. However, the Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta confirmed the transfer.

"We are happy to have Russell Westbrook," he said. "I want to see him play for Oklahoma City and he is very sporty, and at the same time he has the most wins in two years, and that would not have been possible without Chris Paul. We would miss him ESPN.
