Called Less Professional, James Rodriguez Compared with Ronaldo

James Rodriguez underwent a fluctuating career at Real Madrid. Former Colombian national team doctor Hector Fabio Cruz believes this is because of James's own mistakes.

The Colombian star was recruited by Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2013. However, James is not the mainstay of Los Blancos after being tackled by Zinedine Zidane in the middle of the 2015/16 season.

James was then loaned out to Bayern Munich for two seasons, before returning to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. The 28-year-old footballer played his first match in Madrid in a 1-1 draw against Real Valladolid in the second week of the Spanish League.

However, James must leave the playing field in less than an hour because of an injury. Things that have hindered James's career.

Cruz claims James is less professional. According to him, James lacked focus on building his career.

"The boy lacked focus," Cruz told Futbolred, quoted by Marca. "Instead of working to prepare for the new season, he went to straighten his eyebrows and hair even though he was supposed to work."

"Big teams like Madrid demand professionalism, but this child has a mind that is not right," he continued.

"A player who spends months away from the field and goes from club to club, how can he still be able to compete? He will indeed survive at first, but if he prepares properly he will not suffer like this."
