Ajax and Slavia Prague Pass to the Champions League Group Phase

Amsterdam - The 2019/2020 Champions League qualification playoffs have been completed. Ajax Amsterdam, Slavia Prague and Club Brugge made sure to qualify for the group phase.

Ajax made sure to qualify for the Champions League group phase after beating APOEL 2-0 at Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam, Netherlands, on Thursday (8/29/2019) early morning hrs. De Amsterdammers scored by Edson Alvarez and Dusan Tadic.

Ajax also won 2-0 on aggregate over APOEL in the playoffs. Earlier, Erik ten Hag's team was balanced 0-0 in Greece
In another match, Slavia Praha beat CFR Cluj 1-0 at Sinobo Stadium with a Jan Boril goal. Slavia Prague also advanced to the group round thanks to a 2-0 aggregate advantage, after the first meeting also won 1-0.

Finally, Club Brugge made sure to qualify for the group rounds, after bending LASK 2-1 at Jan Breydel Stadium. Club Brugge's two goals were scored by Hans Vanaken and Emmanuel Dennis, who were only penalized by Joao Klauss.

The win gave Club Brugge a 3-1 aggregate lead over LASK and advanced to the group round.

The passage of Ajax, Slavia Prague and Club Brugge has made the 2019/2020 Champions League group phase slots full. Furthermore, drawing the division of the Champions League group will be held in Monaco on Thursday (29/8) local time.
