Trabzonspor opened the Sturridge movement
Trabzon - Daniel Sturridge is officially in Trabzonspor uniform. The English striker has been employed for three years by a Turkish club.
This announcement was published by Trabzonspor on Wednesday (08/21/2019), WIB. That was after Sturridge completed the medical testing process and signed the contract.
"Our club has recruited forward Daniel Sturridge and has been employed for three years, with an option to extend for one year," the club's official statement said.
Trabzonspor became the sixth club in Sturridge's career after Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion. With Liverpool, Sturridge has been playing since 2013 before the end of his contract this summer.
With the Reds, Sturridge played 160 times with a score of 67 goals. His club career has been disrupted over the past five years due to a series of injuries. Even in the last three seasons, the 29-year-old has only scored 14 goals.
Sturridge also has 26 matches with the English national team with a score of eight goals.
