Trabzon - Daniel Sturridge finally found a new club after leaving Liverpool in June 2019. He joined the Turkish club, Trabzonspor.

Sturridge will land in Turkey to complete the transfer. The 29-year-old was found at the airport of the former Ottoman Empire surrounded by security agents on Tuesday (08/20/2019).

Trabzonspor offered the former Liverpool player a free transfer contract for two years. It was also presented for the third year call option worth £ 2.8 million (around Rs 48.4 billion).

Before landing at Trabzonspor, Sturridge was associated with 13 clubs from 3 continents. From Aston Villa, Glasgow Rangers, Real Betis, Olympique de Marseille, to the American club D.C. United

Trabzonspor has also received competition from other Turkish clubs who want Sturridge, namely Fenerbache and Besiktas. Fenerbache even proposed a three-year contract offer, as well as a salary of 60,000 pounds sterling (around 959 million rupees) per week for the attacker.

The club, originally from the Trabzon region of Turkey, has been the sixth club in Sturridge during his career. So far, he has defended Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers (on loan) and West Bromwich Albion (on loan).

In the Turkish League, Sturridge will meet his former colleague at Liverpool Loris Karius. The German goalkeeper is currently on loan at Besiktas.
