This MotoGP observer can't make a choice between Rossi and Marquez

MotoGP observers, Carlo Pernat, claimed not to be able to make choices regarding who the more powerful racer was, Valentino Rossi or Marc Marquez.

Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez are two racer figures who have emerged as icons of the MotoGP race.

Rossi began his career as a MotoGP racer much earlier than Marquez.

Starting his debut in the 125cc class (now Moto3) with the Aprilia team in 1996, Rossi won nine world titles.

Seven of these titles were won when he competed in the MotoGP class, three titles with Honda and four titles with Yamaha.

In addition to the world title, Rossi's long career also made him a player in the history of developments and changes that occurred in MotoGP.

One of them is a matter of changes in regulations about motor specifications, from the 500cc 2-stroke engine when Rossi made his debut in the MotoGP class in 2000.

Then it switched to the 990cc 4-stroke engine in 2002 to 2006, then to 800cc in 2007-2012, and 1000cc from 2013 until now.

On the other hand, Marquez, who is still loyal to race with Repsol Honda until next season, sticks tight to Rossi's achievements.

Since making his debut in the 125cc class in the 2008 season, the Spanish rider has won a total of eight world titles.

Even since rising to the main MotoGP class in the 2013 season, Marquez almost never failed to become a world champion.

Only in the 2015 season, the 26-year-old driver ranked third in the final standings.

Rivalry in terms of achievement between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez also raises questions about who is better between the two.

Instead of finding an answer to that question, MotoGP observers, Carlo Pernat, were also unable to say much about it.

"I cannot say who is stronger between Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi," Pernat said, quoted by BolaSport.com from Tuttomotoriweb.

71-year-old man claimed to prefer to see the rivalry of Rossi and Marquez when they are at the same age.

"However, I would like to see the rivalry between Rossi and Marquez when they are both 25 years or 40 years old," Pernat said ending.
