Barcelona star Lionel Messi is predicted to break his own assist record in the Spanish League scene.

Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is experiencing a goal famine in his last 4 league matches.

The score was stopped when Barcelona faced the Valencia team, Levante, Real Betis and the last was Getafe.

The Blaugrana captain last struck the opponent's goal a month ago, when he scored the only goal in Barca's 1-0 win over Granada.

This is the longest missed goal of Messi in the Spanish League, since 2013-2014 ago.

However, despite La Pulga's difficulties in scoring goals recently, it hasn't stopped the Argentinian superstar from proving that he is the best player in the world.

The Ballon d'Or winner six times still contributes greatly to the Catalan giants through several assists.

Messi has been a king of assists in recent matches for Barcelona.

He scored 6 assists in the last 3 Spanish league matches and made himself collecting 12 assists for this season.

The 32-year-old is far ahead of all Spanish league players when it comes to scoring assists.

Messi is at the top of the list with the highest assists than his team mate, Luis Suarez, who collected 7 assists and far left Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, with a collection of 6 assists.

That way, Messi seems to be beating the previous best record, which is 18 assists in one Spanish League season which he achieved in the 2010-2011 and 2014-2015 seasons.

Barcelona itself still has 14 matches left in the Spanish League to give Messi plenty of opportunities to add to his incision or even the number of goals.
