Liverpool legend Phil Babb was present in Jakarta at the inauguration of Kop Run, a grand running event the collaboration of Liverpool FC and AXA and AXA Mandiri.

After being held in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2019, Kop Run will take place in Jakarta on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

This event invites Liverpool fans and fitness enthusiasts to participate in the 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer running activities.

The presence of Phil Babb, Liverpool's 1994-2000 defender, became a magnet at the inauguration ceremony of the Kop Run Jakarta 2020, Thursday (20/2) at the Westin Hotel, Jakarta.

So, what are the activities of the ex-most expensive defender in Britain after retiring in 2004?

"I have been a football observer for a number of media. In addition, I also remain part of the Liverpool extended family," Phil Babb told media crews.

As an ambassador representing the club in various activities, Babb felt the enthusiasm of having the opportunity to meet audiences face to face, including supporters of Liverpool throughout the world.

Regarding Kop Run's mission, Babb said that this event was a form of celebration by inviting the public to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere together.

"This event is not only a run, but also a celebration of a positive life, health, and happiness. I invite all of you to join this event which will be an extraordinary opportunity," he said.

In addition, Babb also mentioned a little about the chance of winning the English League this season.

Seeing the time of the event in April, it could be that Kop Run will also be a moment of trophy celebration for the Reds fans.

With a 22-point surplus from Manchester City in the standings, Liverpool need only 5 wins on paper to secure the title.

If the two teams both maintain the winning trend as they are now, the Reds will most quickly lock the trophy with a tripoin over Crystal Palace, March 21.

However, titles can come sooner if Man City stumbles.

"Finally, hopefully we also won the Premier League title. I think, it can be said that it has been secured," said Phil Babb again.
