Repsol Honda Manager: Don't Underestimate Valentino Rossi in MotoGP 2020
Repsol Honda's manager, Alberto Puig, believes that Valentino Rossi remains a threat in the 2020 MotoGP.
Yamaha Energy Monster racer Valentino Rossi underwent a 2020 MotoGP pre-season test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia.
Yamaha has made rapid moves to prevent their young drivers from moving to other manufacturers in the upcoming MotoGP 2021.
After extending the Maverick Vinales contract, Iwata's squad also upgraded Fabio Quartararo's status from a satellite team driver to a manufacturer racer.
Quartararo will replace Valentino Rossi who has presented four world championship titles in the first class for Yamaha.
Nevertheless, Yamaha still provides a place for Rossi in the Yamaha Petronas team if he still wants to continue his work in MotoGP in 2021.
On the other hand, the 40-year-old rider did not want to rush into making decisions about his future.
Valentino Rossi will only decide whether he wants to race again or retire in the middle of the 2020 season.
The turmoil that occurred in the Yamaha team also invited the attention of garage officials from reigning champions MotoGP, Repsol Honda.

Team Manager Alberto Puig does not want to underestimate Valentino Rossi in his last season as a Yamaha manufacturer racer.
"Rossi is an unpredictable opponent because he is a phenomenon," said Alberto Puig, quoted by BolaSport.com from La Vanguardia.
"He (Rossi) does not lose his ambition or desire, he can surprise you and you will never be able to underestimate it," he said again.
Puig considers that Valentino Rossi can still be shot even though next season he will be 41 years old.
"In this case, he is a very fast racer even though he is no longer young," Puig explained.
"Even though his speed is currently slowly decreasing, he is a monster that still has a lot of talent and hunger," he concluded.
Next season, Repsol Honda itself will pair Marc Marquez with his younger brother who last season won the Moto2 class, Alex Marquez.
The single wing logo team will launch a new team and motorcycle for the 2020 season on February 4 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
After that they will get off at the official MotoGP test session which will take place at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, on 7-9 February
