Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp

Juergen Klopp, responded to the Manchester United fans who asked the Reds to lose.

Liverpool became the leaders of the Premier League standings by collecting 76 points.

The Reds are 22 points ahead of Manchester City, who finished second.

Juergen Klopp's squad also recorded an unbeaten record in the Premier League this season.

Envious of Liverpool's extraordinary performance, Manchester United's young supporter Daragh Curley wrote a direct message to the Reds coach, Juergen Klopp.

Curley, who is still 10 years old, asked Klopp if it was possible for Liverpool to lose a few matches so they would not win the league.

"Liverpool won too many matches. If you win nine more matches then you have the best unbeaten record in English football," Curley wrote.

"For United fans, this is very sad."

"So if the next time Liverpool play, please make them lose. You have to let the other team score goals. I hope I can convince you not to win the league or any other match," concluded the young United fan.

Responding to the message, Klopp responded by praising Curley's enthusiasm, but explained that Liverpool could not lose points.

The German coach also said the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team was lucky to get support from him.

"Unfortunately, on this occasion I cannot grant your request, not through choice," Klopp answered.

"As much as you want, that Liverpool will lose, my job is to do everything I can to help Liverpool win."

"Because there are millions of people around the world who want that to happen, so I really don't want to disappoint them."

"I can safely say that one thing that will not change is your passion for football and your favorite club. Manchester United are fortunate to have you.

"Although our club is a great rival, we also respect each other. For me this is the essence of football," concluded the 52-year-old coach.

As part of schoolwork, Curley and his parents never imagined the German coach would read, let alone respond to the letter.

"My wife Tricia is at the local post office / store and she was told that there was a registered letter for Daragh Curley," Curley's father said.

"He wondered who sent Curley a registered letter, but when he mentioned it to Curley, he said 'Oh that is Juergen Klopp.' And it really is Juergen Klopp !," he said.
