Lewandowski Wants To Be Durable, Shoot 300 Goals in the German League


Munich - Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski wants to be able to play as long as possible. Lewandowski ambitions to reach 300 goals in the German League.

Lewandowski worked his way up in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund in 2010. The sharpness of the Polish bomber attracted Bayern to recruit him four years later.
To date, Lewandowski has scored 207 goals in the Bundesliga in 292 appearances for Dortmund and Bayern. As many as seven champion medals have been won by Lewandowski, and four times became the top scorer of the competition.

Lewandowski's potential to reach 300 goals is wide open. Lewandowski's contract at Bayern which will expire in 2021 is confirmed to be renewed soon.

"From my point of view there are only details to be clarified [regarding the new contract]," the 31-year-old Polish striker told Sport Bild.


"Maybe I can even reach 300 goals in the Bundesliga. I want to play in five, six more years at the top level."

Lewandowski has scored five goals in two league appearances this season. Meanwhile, the all-time top scorer of the competition was held by German legend Gerd Mueller with 365 goals.
