Every year, FIFA chooses its own world soccer player in parallel with the Golden Ball. Now, the World Federation has announced ten finalists.
FIFA has announced a nomination for 2019 FIFA World Player Selection. German professionals and Bundesliga players are in the Top 10. Defending champions Luka Modric is also absent.
For Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, three representatives of the Champions League winners, Liverpool FC are in the selected circle. Superstars Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus Turin) and Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) are other favorites.
This list will be complemented by Dutch shooting stars Frenkie de Jong (FC Barcelona), Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus Turin) and Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Eden Hazard (Real Madrid).
